Err, genius I mean. Anyway, Scott Adams recently started a blog (The Dilbert Blog) and so far it's an okay read. At least it's a window into his mind and features Dogbert with a red background instead of the cheesy pink stripes one that I thiefed from Dilbert.com for my MSN at school.

All grown up...

Actually, far from it... But this past saturday was my convocation and it was actually okay. I guess since we were forced to stay throughout the whole dang thing, I was able to more fully enjoy the ceremony. But the main bonus is finding a fellow Shad that I haven't seen since... well, since Shad (in 1999) :D He did his Master's here (undergrad at Queen's) so that's why I never knew he was at the school. In fact, it turns out his office is 2nd floor of E2 - what a coincidence :D I saw another Shad, but I knew he was here (he's in architecture so I never saw him also.) Kind of cool, now I just have to find the third and pursuade a fourth to come... Ah well, so am I glad to be a grad? I dunno, but I do know that my undergrad is officially complete and that's one more thing I can check off. Next on my to do list is to finish grad school, get a job, find a wife, start a family, retire, and relax. Hrmmm, www.brides.ru anyone?

Just now I got to thinking about first impressions of people - just too bad we're in such an impatient world that we have to judge people quickly...

Family Guy rocks. Period. Okay okay, so maybe their new eps aren't as good and maybe American Dad is better than the new Family Guy, but that's not the point. Today I read PTC Punks "Family Guy", and I was quite amused. Why are they focusing on comedies that use somewhat obscure jokes where if people know what they're talking about, then there's no point censoring from them? And how did Reba get a thumbs-up and Bernie Mac for that matter? I don't mean to diss up those shows, but I could've sworn they don't exactly preach good values. Reba's divorced, her eldest daughter got pregnant while in school and she constantly makes fun of her neighbour, comparing her to... shall we say someone easy (Reba's husband left her for her neighbour, something like that) - and don't ask how I know all this :D Bernie Mac, I've also only seen a few eps, but unfortunately I can't put down any specific details. Anyway, so yeah, stop picking on Family Guy!

So I was reading a paper when I became bored (as usual) and started to surf - I noticed an ad for Philips' Flat TV that caught my eye - it emits ambient light! Interesting idea, now I wonder if they'll implement chemicals so that it'll release odours like those tested in theatres...

Ummm, yeah, so here's my attempt at school spirit - Mr Gates came to our school today to give a talk and while I didn't get to see him in person (I saw a 20 ft version of him) it was somewhat cool still. I just finished reading Piracy Spins a Global Web and while my friend makes an interesting point about how they're putting the blame on immigrants, I'm wondering why didn't they talk about the demand (for pirated material that is)? They sort of alluded to it by saying that people who buy these might not buy the DVD at retail price to begin with, so it's not detracting from sales, but anyway, there's so much Hollywood crap out there, are they really expecting all of them to sell? I mean, clearly not if they're resorting to marketing tricks like pumping out various DVD covers (ie Sin City) and hope that maybe we'll collect them all... But yeah, again, they should've talked about the demand...

GBM Commercial

For those of you who have seen the GBM commercial with the mouse, you'll know what I'm talking about. I saw this commercial a while back, but I figured I'll ask about it now, since hopefully more people would have seen it. Anyway, I'm wondering if any of you know if it's on the web somewhere... I've tried gameads, but it's not there yet. Oh yeah, apparently there's an interesting RE4 commercial for EU :P
